And the accolades continue to pour in for 2008s box office champ, as Heath Ledger and The Dark Knight picked up a pair of awards over the weekend both here and across the pond. Last night, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts doled out their annual awards and, once again, Heath Ledger was presented with posthumous honours sorry, honors for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. Producer Chuck Roven accepted the award on Ledgers behalf, saying in his acceptance, Knowing Heath, I know he would be very humbled to be in the company of the other performances that were nominated this evening. I had the good fortune of making two films with Heath, and I consider myself lucky to have just made one. He was as an actor, a professional, and as a human being, one of a kind.
